Dan Sparkes

Creative Director

No-Doz Personified

Dog Interrogator

Since being described by a personality test as simply ‘zest’, Dan channeled that vibe through his 14 years of agency experience working on some of the world’s most iconic brands. As Bullfrog’s Creative Director, Dan acts as our chief attention-getter through his strategic and creative thinking and exceptional commitment to craft, insight and innovation.

In previous lives, Dan has created a successful anti-cyberbullying start-up, repositioned Australia’s biggest energy company, launched a gaming console to the Australian market, interrogated dogs to confess to their worst behaviour and started his very own viral social media trend – all while driving real business results for his client partners and their brands.

Dan’s work has been featured in major publications around the world, from Mashable to CNN, and has been awarded at every major advertising award show – with highlights including a D&AD Yellow Pencil, One Show’s Best in Discipline, Multiple Cannes Gold, Spike’s Grand Prix for Good, and even a bronze from the United Nations. He’s also been ranked as the 25th best Art Director in the world according to the Won Report.

For the past five years, he’s also helped develop the new crop of creatives via his mentorship with AWARD School. He would say he is almost nocturnal due to being a new dad, but really it’s his passion for EPL, NBA, one too many crime documentaries, and the work that keeps him up late. He is guilty of saying, “Have you seen this?” far too often.
